1. About these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of waxreading.com and the Ceromancy reading service (the "Service"). The Service is operated by New Sunny LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our").

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you also represent that you have the authority to bind that business to these Terms.

3. The Service

Ceromancy is a digital interpretation service inspired by the ancient practice of ceromancy (reading shapes formed by molten wax poured into water). You upload a photograph of your wax, and the Service generates a written interpretation using artificial intelligence.

For entertainment and reflection only. The interpretations provided by the Service are intended solely for entertainment, self-reflection, and creative inspiration. They are not, and should not be treated as:

  • Professional advice of any kind
  • Medical, psychological, financial, legal, or relationship advice
  • Predictions of future events
  • Guarantees of any outcome
  • A substitute for consultation with qualified professionals

Decisions you make in your life are your responsibility. We encourage you to consult appropriate professionals (doctors, therapists, financial advisors, lawyers) for matters requiring expert guidance.

4. How the Service works

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate interpretations based on the photograph you upload. The interpretations are computed responses, not statements of fact about your past, present, or future. The wax shapes are interpreted symbolically, drawing from traditional ceromancy archetypes, but the resulting reading is a creative output of an AI system.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or relevance of any reading.

5. Payment

The Service offers a one-time reading for a fixed price displayed at checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe and charged in full at the time of purchase.

By completing a purchase, you authorize us to charge the payment method you provide.

6. Refund Policy

All sales are final. We do not provide refunds once a reading has been generated.

If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from receiving your reading, please contact us at support@waxreading.com and we will help resolve the issue. We may, at our sole discretion, issue refunds in cases of clear technical failure.

We do not provide refunds based on the content or perceived value of the interpretation, as readings are subjective and provided for entertainment.

7. Your content

When you upload a photograph of your wax to the Service, you grant us a limited license to:

  • Store the photograph on our servers
  • Process the photograph using AI services to generate your reading
  • Display the photograph and the resulting interpretation back to you

We do not claim ownership of your photographs. You retain all rights to the images you upload.

We do not use your photographs for any purpose other than providing your reading. We do not sell, share, or repurpose your images.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload images that are illegal, harmful, or that infringe on the rights of others
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service
  • Submit content intended to harass, harm, or deceive
  • Use automated systems to access the Service in ways that disrupt its operation
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit any content generated by the Service without our written permission

We reserve the right to refuse service, remove content, or restrict access if we believe you have violated these Terms.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, branding, written content, and software, is owned by New Sunny LLC and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

The interpretation generated for you is yours to keep, share personally, and reference for your own use. You may not, however, claim authorship of the Service's content, framework, or branding.

10. Third-party services

The Service uses third-party providers including:

  • Stripe for payment processing
  • OpenAI for artificial intelligence
  • Supabase for data storage
  • Resend for email delivery

These providers have their own terms and privacy policies. By using the Service, you also agree to be bound by their applicable terms.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • The interpretations will meet your expectations
  • Any defects will be corrected
  • The Service is free of viruses or harmful components

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event shall New Sunny LLC, its members, employees, or contractors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You acknowledge that the Service is provided for entertainment purposes and that any actions you take based on the readings are your own responsibility.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless New Sunny LLC, its members, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another person or entity

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will indicate the date of the most recent update at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms.

You may stop using the Service at any time.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
